Eagle Crusher Wins Top Industry Award

COLUMBUS , Ohio – Eagle Crusher Company was honored by the Publication in Construction Association (PICA), a bureau of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), at the annual Measures of Success awards program. The Galion-based manufacturer received Honorable Mention for its submission of a single direct mail piece, created by Jeff Hillis, parts sales manager of Eagle Crusher, and Holcomb Gallagher Adams, Inc., a Columbus-based advertising agency.

The awards program showcased marketing communications best practices as an educational guide and elevated the role of marketing communications professionals by highlighting their work and its importance to companies' commercial success.

The overall objective of Eagle Crusher's direct mail piece was to publicize financial buying incentives during the economic recession. Another purpose was to showcase its line of UltraMax® impactors and highlight their distinguishing feature, an aggressive and dependable solid-steel 3-bar rotor. To differentiate Eagle Crusher from the competition, the direct mailer included a rotor-shaped CD-ROM which featured testimonial messages.

Material submitted for the awards program covered 2002 and the first quarter of 2003. Entries were judged by a panel of university marketing communications instructors, business-to-business agencies and marketing communications professionals in addition to editorial and publishing representatives from PICA member publications. More than 100 entries were received across four categories: magazine ads, product literature, direct mail and press kits. Winners were announced at an AEM marketing seminar on October 7 in Williamsburg , Virginia .
